Welcome to our Church

THAT NIGHT PAUL HAD A VISION...

A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us” (Acts 16:19).

If you’re reading this, it may be because God is calling you to come help the Church on Thistle Ridge. We certainly need your help, and that of anyone else who wants to serve Christ in this sinful world.

You won’t find a friendlier group of people than those you will encounter at Christ’s church on the ridge. But it’s not just a warm welcome that you will experience. You’ll hear uncompromised biblical truth from our pastor that many preachers won’t speak for fear that such truth will affect attendance and offerings.

Fear of truth doesn’t exist at this church because political correctness is as unwelcome as a colony of fire ants.

Obviously, the church doesn’t have a single perfect member, so unbelievers can call us hypocrites and be right on. We’re often mistake prone, the truth being that we’re just a bunch of sinners saved by the grace of God and led by the Holy Spirit. Our one and only agenda is sharing the grace of God with everyone with whom we come in contact.

Like most churches we want to grow numerically, but not at the expense of failing to grow spiritually. As Scripture tells us, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.”

We never run away from the Holy Spirit; we run to Him.

You’re invited to be our guest for Wednesday fellowship supper at 6 p.m., followed by your choice of either Bible study or worship, both of which end at 7:20 p.m.

So, come visit us on the ridge where a place for personal Christian service awaits you, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful and spectacular views in the area, and where you can be inspired by participating in Holy Spirit-inspired worship on God’s Holy Ground.

CHECK OUT THE VIEW

If you haver not been up on the ridge where our building is located, you have missed one of the most spectacular views in the Granbury area. Drive up some day for meditation and prayer. From the De Cordova Bend front entrance traffic light on Fall Creek Highway, go up the hill toward the Acton Nature Center. You will see a sign pointing to the church.

COMMUNION

The Lord's Supper reminds us of the means by which God's salvation was secured on our behalf. The unleavened bread is a symbol of the perfection of the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ in His body, soul, and spirit. The fruit of the vine symbolized the substitutionary, propitiatory, and covenantal blood of an innocent sacrifice, shed for the remission of the sins of the quility (see Romans 3:21-26; Hebrews 2:15-17; 1 Peter 3:18).

LATEST BOOKS AVAILABLE

You can get a copy of Senior Pastor C.C. Risenhoover’s latest book, MURDERING AMERICA: One White Man at a Time, at the church office or following any of the services at The Church on Thistle Ridge, 4900 Sonterra Court.

The book can also be ordered from Amazon, along with church member Dr, Barna Richards’ book, 44 Years in the ER.

BE OUR GUEST

If you are looking for a church home, be our guest at the Wednesday 6 p.m. supper, where the food and fellowship is second to none. Bible study and worship are conducted simultaneously at 6:40 p.m. There’s also a donut and coffee fellowship at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, followed by Bible study at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 10:45 a.m.
